Deer Valley Ski Resort is an alpine ski area that’s just within the Wasatch Range. It’s in the historic mining town of Park City, Utah, the USA, about 36 miles east of Salt Lake City. The resort is consistent in maintaining its rank among the top ski resorts in North America. It ranked 1st for a great five years on top among SKI Magazine readers’ North American ski resorts rating.

The ski resort offers a complete vacation package experience, including planning and vacation rentals, mountain dining, ski schools, chairlift activities, and summer concerts. The Deer Valley resort regularly hosts the International Ski Federation competitions. It was also a venue site of the 2002 Winter Olympics with the resort hosting the following events: aerial, alpine slalom, and freestyle moguls.

Deer Valley competes within a number of ski resorts just near the vicinity. Although, they differentiate themselves by catering more to the upper-class audience than their competitors. The resort exposes its visitors to fine dining, boutique shopping in the main lodge, and free ski valets and parking shuttles. Deer Valley is one of three resorts in the nation that only offers skiing, which appeals much to the ski community.

To avoid overcrowding, Deer Valley limits its ticket sales to only 7,500 per day and, with limited access, uses more grooming equipment than the other ski areas near them. With a total uphill lift capacity of 50,470 skiers per hour, Deer Valley has approximately 50% higher lift capacity than each of its larger neighbors. The resort has 21 chairlifts, including 12 high-speed detachable quads and an enclosed gondola that can cater to 4 passengers.
